Venetsana (Venessa) Levin, B.A. M.Ed., RA
Educator, Holistic Aromatherapy Practitioner
I began my Aromatic studies over a decade ago, with Sylla Sheppard Hanger at the Atlantic Institute of Aromatherapy and completed the
Aromatherapy Practitioner Training Program (425 hours) in Tampa, Florida.
I furthered my Aromatic studies with Mark Webb and am one of only 25 people in the United States to have completed the Advanced Diploma in Aromatic Medicine (300 hours) with the Institute of Traditional Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy (ITHMA), London. My education also includes the Essential Oil Safety Master Class (Tisserand Institute) and the webinars, Therapeutic Foundations of Essential Oils and the Complete Skin Care series with Robert Tisserand, AromaPsychology, Fusion AromaTherapy and Pain with Madeleine Kerkhof at the Heal Center in Atlanta, Co2 Extracts with Mark Webb. I have completed live seminars with additional experts in the field that include Peter Holmes, Joy Bowles and Dr. Robert Pappas. As a forever student and life long learner, I am continually expanding my knowledge and education. The last few years, I have been studying locally at Arete Herbs in Kennett Square, PA with April Coburn, and Paula Billig focusing my studies on herbalism, women’s health and all the ways nature and plant medicine can increase the quality of our lives. Currently, I am enrolled in the Alchemy of Menopause with Cathy Skipper and April Coburn, looking to deepen my knowledge about women’s health and ways to use our herbal and aromatic allies as we transition through the stages of our lives.
I am an official Registered Aromatherapist (RA) as designated by the Aromatherapy Registration Council (ARC). I have been a professional member of both the Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA) and the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA), additionally I have served on the Board of Directors and as Media committee chair for AIA. I am currently serving as secretary for the Aromatherapy Registration Council (ARC). I am a mom of two amazing young adults, a wife and in my former life, I was a High School English teacher. My prior education was aromatically unrelated as I have a B.A in English Literature (University of Vermont) and a Masters in Education from Cabrini College (Radnor, PA). I loved teaching but my career was cut short when medical issues forced me into an early medical retirement. My quest for healing inevitably led me to essential oils and it was love at first sniff. I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve others in a completely different and unexpected field. My passion for safety and education make educating and consulting a natural fit and I strive to help others enhance overall well being with aromatherapy. Teaching others how to use aromatics safely and effectively brings me tremendous joy. My ultimate goal in creating Grateful Aromatics, LLC is to empower others to use these potent and healing gifts of nature safely and effectively for their own well-being; in body, mind and spirit.
